Available 165GB, 325GB, and 650GB capacity and performance levels provide read speeds up to 1700MB/s – CFexpress Type B cards are ideal for quickly off-loading high volumes of video or RAW photos and minimum sustained write speeds up to 1,400MB/s – perfect for uninterrupted, cinematic capture of RAW 4K or 6K video.

What is CFexpress?

CFexpress is a removable media standard created by the CompactFlash Association. There were three form factors defined in the standard; Type A, Type B, and Type C. All form factors leverage the PCIe® Gen 3 interface for higher performance based on a computing industry storage interface and utilize NVM Express™ 1.3 protocols. Will the CFexpress Type B memory card work with Nikon Z series cameras?

Yes, Nikon has released firmware to allow the Nikon Z6 and Z7 to work with CFexpress cards.

Is CFexpress compatible with XQD?

Certain cameras that use XQD memory cards can get a firmware update from the device manufacturer to allow that device to use CFexpress Type-B cards.

Do you make a CFexpress memory card reader?

We make two different CFexpress readers specific to CFexpress Type B cards; our Dual-Slot CFexpress and SD Reader and the

Thunderbolt™ 3 CFexpress and XQD reader.

Do you make an XQD memory card reader?

We make a CFexpress Type B memory card reader that is backward compatible with XQD once you download the XQD driver from Sony.

Does this CFexpress memory card handle 8K raw video?

Yes, both the 325GB and 650GB will handle 8K video with no issues.
