The UHS-II SDXC V90 Memory Card from ProGrade Digital features a storage capacity of up to 512GB per card and takes advantage of the UHS-II bus to support maximum read speeds of 300 MB/s and maximum write speeds of 250 MB/s. This SD memory card has also been designed with the V90 Video Speed Class rating, which guarantees minimum write speeds of at least 90 MB/s, allowing the SDXC card to be used in DSLRs, mirrorless cameras, camcorders, and digital cinema cameras that produce rich data streams, including 6K, 5K, 4K, UHD 4K, and high bit rate MPEG-4 video. It is also well-suited for raw photos and rapid-fire bursts.

SDXC UHS-II cards achieve their speed through an extra row of pins and while this card has been designed for cameras that are UHS-II / V90 compatible, it may be used in devices that do not support UHS-II / V90. However, bear in mind that this SD card will then default to your device's speed class and bus rating, such as UHS-II and V60, which supports minimum write speeds of 60 MB/s, UHS-II and V30, which supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s, or UHS-I and U3, which also supports minimum write speeds of 30 MB/s. If your device does not support U3, this card is compatible with the U1 and Class 10 standards, each of which guarantee minimum write speeds of 10 MB/s.

Built for extreme conditions, ProGrade Digital's UHS-II SDXC V90 Memory Card is able to withstand temperatures from -13 to 185°F, allowing you to take this card with you into extreme environments, such as snow and deserts. It is also shockproof and X-ray proof, and a built-in write protect switch helps to safeguard your content from being erased.

What is the difference between SDXC V60 and SDXC V90?

The Video Speed Class for SD cards is designated by a V followed by a number like V60 or V90. This designation replaces the C and U designations previously found on SD cards. Video Speed Class identifies the speed needed for 4K and 8K video capture which was not covered in prior designations. By covering a wide range of capture formats, video speed class is intended to simplify what consumers need to know about the speed of an SD card. Labeling memory cards accordingly provides an overview of SDXC speed comparisons. A V60 card is tested to have a minimum sustained write speed of at least 60MB/s, while a V90 card has a minimum sustained write speed of at least 90MB/s.

What is UHS-I VS UHS-II?

UHS (Ultra High Speed) defines bus-interface speeds up to 624 Megabytes per second with UHS-I (104MB/s), UHS-II (324MB/s), and UHS-III (624MB/s) classification for greater SDHC and SDXC device and memory card performance. As far as physical differences between the cards, UHS-I cards have one row of pins on the back of the card and UHS-II cards have two rows. ProGrade Digital only manufactures UHS-II cards.

What is the SDXC card?

An SDXC memory card allows you to do more with your device. Whether you’re looking for camera, video, or action-cam compatibility, the faster bus speeds enable improvements like professional-level recording. The speed improvements also exponentially increase the number of frames shot per second with SDXC cameras.

Will this card handle the 4K video on my DSLR?

Yes, we recommend using the V90 cards for all cameras that require high bit rate data, especially when using your camera from the highest video setting.
